I'm writing this letter for you, because I want to know how my mother and sister are. I hope they're fine, but I need to receive a letter to be sure. I want to go there as soon as I can, but I'll have to escape from this awful place. I have made a new friend, Smike. He's one of the children that are living here. You have no idea about how they are treated. It's very painful sometimes, for example: the other day Squeers hit Smike because he wasn't sleeping in his bedroom. The poor children have nothing to eat because Squeers doesn't want to spend his money on them. The place has no food, the rooms are very cold and it's not a place where the children should live. Less with those conditions.
Well, I have to go now, but I hope you'll answer soon.

Dear Mr Newman,

I'm writing this letter to you because I really want to know how my mum and my sister are.
I'm sure that you are going to help them as much as you can.
By the way, this place is horrible, they treat the kids like animals, they give them as less as food they can, not to waste their money, there is not even a fire to warm the poor children up. The other day Squeers hit a boy because he was sleeping near the chimney. If my uncle were not suporting my sister and mother I swear to God I would have gone off here!!!!!!

How is your work with Mrs. Wititterly going? Me and Smike arrived safely to the Boy's House. I am sorry that you are not happy with your new job, but I promise you will feel better in a few days; you will just get used to it and start to like it as well. Me and Smike are very happy right now, we will soon start working and saving money for the next weeks. Beware of Sir Mulberry Hawk, he is a very cruel man, he just wants to hurt people, he is a hypocrite, his words are filled with venom, pain is a consequence of his presence. Trust me, he is a man with which you should be careful…

Dear sister,

I would like to tell you I'm doing great in this new place I'm working at, but I'm afraid it's one of the most horrid places I've ever been. Mr. Squeers is nasty, and so is he's family. The children here are always being punished and treated as animals. I feel so sorry for them each time I see them shivering of hunger, I would really love taking them all to a better place, but then I realise I must control myself.

Anyway, please don't worry about me. How are you and mom doing? Have you get anywhere to live, how is Uncle Ralph behaving with you? Has he kept his promise?

Well, I have to stop writing for now; I think I shouldn't be here and I here Mr. Squeers' wife footsteps approaching.

Dear Nicholas:
I can´t believe that you left. You said that if you stayed you would make our lives unhappy and when you left things would change and get better. But that's not true and you know. Our uncle said that you give the responsibility of our family to him. I don´t like this.He is bad with me, he shouts to me when I do something wrong or things like that. Since you left I can´t sleep at night and I don´t have energy, I don´t eat nothing. If you stay a very long time in London I won´t stand it much. I´m very sad and the girls too.
